If what you're doing is working for you then that's what really matters. It's perfectly normal for a diaper to be soaked in the morning (especially with really little ones that may still be nursing or taking a bottle at night). I tend to use more liners to try and avoid a totally soaked morning diaper, just because I feel it's a little less 'icky' to touch a diaper that's dry on the sides, LOL! It's certainly not a big thing and I could definetly use less absorbancy in my children's diapers with no problem.

As long as you have no leaks then it's really about what you prefer and, to a certain extent, what you can afford (ie if you can afford to spend the money to buy the extra liners if you don't already have them). Other than personal preferance (and baby's comfort of course) I don't think there's any real big advantage either way.
