Hang on, you mean you're not using a cover at all? I've heard of some people not using covers with diapers, but I'm not sure how they manage that. I only don't use a cover when my baby's on a waterproof surface and I want her to air out a bit. ME diapers are meant to be used with covers. They're absorbant, but they aren't waterproof.
If you want a more breathable system, you might want to try wool covers. Or if you don't want to mess with covers, try all-in-ones or pocket diapers, which have the cover built in.
