my ds is also 7 weeks too and as with absorbancy i find the diapers are wet when i take them off but wouldnt say soaking, diaper just seems to hold it in but if what you mean is that the outside is wet then yes i do have that. But then i always have a cover on so doesnt leak onto clothes.
I use tide free and find that works well, dont know about any other detergents
