I got all my ME onesize second hand and they are totally line dried- they have held up fine. I use them with a fleece liner and a snap in booster (DD is 12m old). I have found them ABSOLUTELY the best for the daytime. I have two fuzzi bunz pocket nappies that i use stuffed with a folded terry square at night, and i must say that's better at night, as my daughter is a very heavy wetter and sleeps through the night now so has 13 hours in the one nappy! I did have only one fuzzi bunz for a while though, so i used to alternate it at night with a ME onesize with two snap in boosters, one on the inside and one on the outside. That was also fine.
I think the pocket nappies probably depend on your child though, i have to say i wouldn't want to take the insert out of the nappy if it was covered in poo, a fleece liner is just as good but more convenient. Because i am lucky in having a daughter who never poos at night, i haven't got that problem but that is one of the reasons i wouldn't use one during the day, same with the all in one nappies.
One good thing about the stuffable nappies that i have heard, if you have a child who has to go into childcare, the staff seem to prefer them, because you can supply them ready stuffed and they just put them on like a disposable, there is less work involved!
Anyway good luck!
