I believe I have an allergy to polyester. I remember as a child wool would make me very itchy and give me a rash. In my late twenties polyester started doing the same thing. My sensitivity to polyester has gotten worse over the years. I now wear only cotton (or linen or silk). It is especially important to me to sleep on 100% cotton sheets. Watch out for tags or even thread made from polyester.

: my son has this incredible rash. we have tried everything! including switching detergent, switching our washing routine, turning up our hot water tank temp., and fleece liners. the doctor has given us preion ointments, and we've tried over the counter skin creams. all with no relief. his rash is an awful red, swollen area all over where his dipe touches. plus his skin keeps peeling and he has blisters that bleed. it occured to me today that he only started getting a rash a few days after we switched to motherease(we were using prefolds). could he be allergic to polyester? has anyone heard of this type of rash? any help would be appreciated.
