Do you have any doublers for your OS? They are really what you need. I would recommend hemp. There are 3-layer hemp doublers that you can get that I think would really take care of the amount of changes, and of course a fleece liner or reusable ME liner to keep his skin dry. Have you tried a Sandy's diaper? You could get a sample pack, buy one used or maybe trade one of your OS with someone, but it definitely sounds like you need the extra absorbency. We use the Sandy's and have gone overnight up to 12 hours with one diaper and doubler and a fleece liner. It is completely soaked by then but never leaks. Hope this helps.
