Karen, I totally agree with you. We did try the fleece liners last night and they helped so much! I was able to just change him at the start of each feed and he went right to sleep afterwards! We got so much more sleep last night. We still used five diapers but that's way better than what we had been using. It seems like the liner helped distribute the moisture better as well, instead of being totally soaked mainly in the front the whole diaper was damp but not soaked. I think he was just waking up when the moisture got around to the back of the diaper.
I love your idea of cutting the fleece to fit the diaper. My mom found a nice big piece of new fleece in her closet that she never used for anything, and she's going to bring it over tonight so I can make a bunch of liners.
