Wizard Duo Diapers (2 sizes) & Newborn Babies

Has anyone tried using the Wizard Duo Diapers (small insert) on newborns? My first baby is due in July and I'm sold on cloth diapering right from the start. I love the look of the Wizard Duo Diapers and would like to use the 2-size system right from the hospital when the baby's born. Are they intended to be used on newborns? I just want to be sure they won't be too bulky and I've heard you have to be careful with newborn diapers because of the umbilical cord stump. Any input or suggestions?
