Photos of newborn in MEOS and Sandy's (ondreeuh)

I know there's a lot of questions on the forum about how ME dipes fit newborns so I took pics of my sweet baby showing off his dipes. He is exactly on the 50th percentile of the growth curve, so he's approximately average but of course every baby is shaped a little differently!

Noel at 4 days old, weighing 7 lbs (born at 7 lbs. 8 oz):

With a newborn Dappi nylon pant over the MEOS

The small Sandy is still much too large on him - surprisingly the MEOS fit him much better! You can't really see it in the pic but the legs and waist are really loose and of course it goes up way over his umbilicus.

Then at 6 weeks old, weighing 10 lbs. 12 oz ...

With the newborn Dappi pant again

And now the small Sandy's diaper fits! It just started fitting snug enough around the leg to hold in the poop. I'm glad I started with smalls and didn't buy xsmalls though.

Even at 11 lbs. now and wearing the MEOS, he's still fitting well in his Carter's & Gymboree 0-3 month clothes. So in our case, bulk is not a problem. Hope this helps!

Oh, he's cute! I have a 11 week old girl that weighs about 11 lbs and I just started her on the MEOS.  They are a tad bulky with the cover on but nothing out of the ordinary for cloth diapers.  I like the puffy-butt cloth diaper look!  I have her in 3-6 month size clothing now but I haven't noticed it was because of the diapers. It seems harder to me to get her arms in the holes!

Adorable pictures!!
This makes me want to try my one-size diapers on the twins.  I still have them in the drawer, thinking they would still be too bulky!  Eli just grew into his small Sandy's, Sadie is still in the X-smalls... but they look like they fit your little guy great at 4 days old!!

I'd forgotten this thread, so it's helpful to have it bumped up, since the fit of these diapers often comes up.

So cute!

And just the pictures I needed to get me convinced that all my MEOS will work right from the beginning - I just need to buy bigger clothes

Your little guy is adorable!
Thanks for sharing the pics. I'm debating buying some xs sandys for my l.o. Due in October. My almost 2 year old wears meos and small sandys still, so I was thinking a few xs sandies would help out.

Anyway, love the colors on your meos, what did you use to dye them? I dyed a bunch of my meos with dharmas procion dyes, but I like the subtle shades of your diapers. Very nice!
