After reading how wonderful cloth pads were, I decided to buy some and try them out.  I got a few from Homemademomma, Ama'z padz, and Touch of Cloth.  Well, I've received the orders from Homemademomma, and Ama'z, but I still have yet to receive the ones from Touch of Cloth.  I ordered them around 6/17, and she sent me an email on 6/17 saying they were getting ready to be shipped.  However, now it's July 1st and still no package.  I tried emailing on Friday, yesterday (Monday) and again today, but no responses.  I 'm starting to freak out.  She offers free shipping, so I don't know if she put insurance on them or not.  I'm wouldn't be worried, except I ordered more from her than from the others, almost $90 in pads!  I paid with paypal, and I sent an email to who it was suggested on the paypal email to contact with questions about shipping and tracking.  Anyone else been in a simillar situation?  I'm hoping she's just on vacation for the 4th of July and I hear back next week sometime.

If you paid with paypal, they have a way of filing a dispute about goods paid for but not received. I don't remember that much about it since it's been about 6 years since I used it, but I got my money back soon after I filed my complaint. Login to paypal and search for something like "paid for item but never received" or "refund my money". I know they have some kind of system for dealing with this sort of thing. What else can you do if you've emailed someone with no response? Nobody wants to do it but.....If they went on vacation, you'd think they would have put that info in the email you got about your items getting ready to be shipped. Dunno, but I'd go the paypal refund route. Paypal might send the seller an email and want to know what is going on. Nothing gets the ball rolling like being confronted with possible suspension of their account. Nobody likes that. That alone might get you your stuff. No refund needed.
Cheers!

Hey Karen! Thanks for the code..it worked!! I got the whole order, including shipping to Ontario, for 16.99!! WoW! The local health food store is selling the Diva cup for 43.99! plus taxes..ouch! It made this way seem like no biggie for trying out the Diva cup Thanks again! That helped me out a lot, and is a great incentive to at least try it.
Okay...anyone have any 'tips' on actually using the Diva...is it hard to get a good fit without the leaking, or is it a little more intuitive than it sounds?
Thanks a bunch!
Now I'm on the quest for some cloth pads to add to the experience..LOL
Anyone have any tips for what is a 'must have' in a cloth pad (PUL, fleece, hemp, wings, no wings..snaps, velcro)...why didn't I know there were SO many options out there??!!!

Hey, that's great! You're welcome! And you're tempting me to buy one myself! You'll probably all get a kick out of this but I'm tempted to buy one for my daughter! She'll be 10 next January so she's potentially not *that* far off from needing it... And if she doesn't like it or whatever, I've got two more daughters coming up in the ranks that could use it someday (although not for a long time, they're barely 3).

I know it's kinda crazy, but it's such a good deal, less than half price!!

Karen.

I have to tell you, I was very excited I just recieved my homemademomma pads.  The ultimate ones over 17 inches, they are awesome for nighttime leakers.  Love cloth!!!

Has anyone had their cycle change from the cloth?  I know they said it can lighten it but mine came 6 days early last month and 4 days early this month.  Just wondering before I call the doctor.

Mine has changed since using the Diva Cup. About a week later than normal and lasts only 3 days with light flow. Not that I'm complaining. But it might also be because I'm not on any BC hormones since I had a tubal. I figured it was just my "normal" cycle since it's been about 10 years since I've been hormone free. Maybe not?...

SAHM22 - lunapads in vancouver have a product called luna panties or something like that. i bought one pair to try and really liked it. it's a pair of undies with a pad built in and they have two bands at the crotch so that you can add another pad if you want. i ended up buying a heavy flow kit because it was on sale and used it post-partum. it was great and i just rinsed them in the tub while i showered and washed them along with my daughter's diapers. i went to their office/store and the staff have their babies with them while they sew and put together orders. i think they do the 'always' thing, too, but instead of sending disposable pads to girls in africa, they send their beautiful cloth ones!

I'm a no-tampon (painful for me) LOVE MY DIVA CUP! I'm still using disposble liners just as back-up, but after reading so many other mammas comments, I want to try some cloth liners for me. I love this forum! I wish we could all be neighbors and have play groups...how much fun would that be!

Agreed--only we couldn't have a playdate in our jammies!  :-)
Just wanted to comment that the other day I noticed diva cups at my local REI.  I wouldn't have thought of that as a place to get them, but that made me think that many outdoor outfitting places might carry them, too.

Thank you.  Actually, I have fell in love with my Diva cup.  It is like a godsend!  It is great for someone like me.  My OBGYN doctor said I may flow heavier because I have a larger uterus and that makes it all lower in body as well.  Which is why Tampons were not for me.  The DIVA cup sits lower and is the best solution for me! I showed it to her and suprisingly enough she did not see one before and she was from Egypt.  I guess the top rim looks like the Nuvaring Birth Control?

I will look there though when I need any more, thanks again!!!

I see you have a bunch of replies already but thought i'd reply anyway! I was the same way at first. I had never heard of them and was so grossed out at the thought but the more i thought and read about them i had to give it a try! What sold me was when i read how a women wasn't having problems with yeast infections anymore (which is a major problem for me..i've hardly eaten bread in years!!)I ended up getting a diva cup but found it hard at first, like others say..there's a huge learning curve. You have to give it 3 months to try! I honestly forget i'm even on my period!!! If you can't use tampons due to having had toxic shock then they still don't recommend the divacup just in case. I found there was too much suction at first and it was too uncomfortable. I now use it along with cloth pads i made myself. They are pretty easy to make...i cut up a prefold diaper a layer of waterproof liner (i used V-Lite, i got from my local fabric store also called diaper liner i think), then a layer of flannel on the bottom(i used an old bed sheet).
I can't say enough about the difference i've seen since switching 4 months ago!!!!!!! I have little to no cramps anymore!! I used to have severe cramps. My flow is much lighter! and the best of all...almost nooooo problems with yeast infections anymore AND i'm eating bread!! This is absolutely a miracle for me. I made a bunch of pads for my sister and got her to buy the divacup as well. It really scares me to think what the heck is in pads and tampons if it was an immediate difference  once i stopped using them! Cloth pads are way more comfy too...plastic wetness or cotton??hmmm i actually found cloth absorbed better too and i felt drier.
