I'm still trying to figure out which diapers to order more of. I bought one of each type, bamboo, cotton terry, and organic cotton. Plus an MEOS bamboo.
Last night I put the Organic Cotton Sandy on ds and it held up great for keeping everything dry. I saved the Cotton Terry one to try tonight.
But I'm just wondering if anybody has found that the Organic Cotton gets crunchy faster than the Cotton terry? Right now it's still pretty soft, but it's only been washed about 3 times.
Thanks, Kathy |

I'm not sure between the Organic vs regular cotton but I know that the bamboo is by far the softest of them all!

Thanks, I do have one bamboo Sandy and one MEOS bamboo, and even though they are so pretty looking, I'm a little worried about how well they will hold up long term. Also, even though everybody says they are the same absorbancy, just trimmer, I found the bamboo Sandy got wetter/heavier/colder feeling much quicker. Could of just been a fluke, so I will be sure to watch again the next time he wears them. They are in the dryer now.
I will still keep the bamboo ones I have, but I'm wanting to buy more and so am trying to sort out which of the Cotton I want. I'm probably way over analyzing it all, but I just want the softest diaper, but also want to take how they stand up to washing etc. into consideration. Then there is the whole poly stink issue that some people say is no big deal, but of course if you are the one that ends up with stink problems, it is a big deal...lol
Oh and the cotton terry seemed to do just as well overnight as the OC for absorbancy, so at least I know that answer now:-) Thanks again, Kathy

I understand how you feel about the bamboo. I also felt as though they could not be as absorbent as the cotton. However, I have been using the bamboo now for about 2 months, and the older ones (the ones I bought in the first round) are just as absorbent as the cotton OS. I think the bamboo just takes more washes before it reaches the same absorbency. In fact, I just ordered another dozen bamboo and the newer ones even feel different from my older set...the older set feels much more absorbent and thicker. THey are, however VERY soft. Liz |

| You know what's weird? To me the bamboo ones feel "rubbery". I mean, the fabric is certainly soft, that's for sure! But when I opened the box and pulled that first bamboo sandy out, my first thought was how rubbery they felt.....is that odd? I haven't heard anybody else describe them that way before! I have unbleached OS cotton to compare it to, so maybe it's just me! LOL! |

| I know what you mean. My new ones still feel that way. i think they loose it after like 20 plus washes, but thats a good way to describe it. |

Hmmm, never thought about it that way but I suppose it's not bad a description. Personally I've always thought they had a very silky, smooth kind of feel to them...
