question question about cloth nursing pads (andreapelegrin)

I was wondering if any of you use these - I'm assuming many of you do :-) and would like some recommendations.  I bought some that are fairly cheap at a local store and they are not very soft and even with the lanolin they still stick to my tender skin!  I know that in about another week I won't be as sore... the other thing is that the lanolin seeps all the way through this cheaper pad, then through my bra to my shirt!  and I don't know how to get it out of my bra or shirts now.  any advice?  I'm looking into the sorella-luna for menstrual pads, can't remember if they have nursing pads.  It's getting late so I'll look tomorrow.  so any advice would be great!!
thanks!

I used the Avent cloth nursing pads and liked them well enough.  They showed a bit, but not more than most disposable pads, I thought.  I was a pretty heavy leaker for a while, and they did a pretty good job of absorbing one let-down.
I also tried a store brand, and they were so bad that I e-mailed customer service and asked for my money back.

I used the Lansinoh cloth pads. With winter shirts they were fine, but with t-shirts or sheer shirts, they show. I don't wear anything now, as I have a very painful letdown, so I know in advance that a gusher is coming. I just put fingertip(or forearms if I'm out in public)on my nipples/areola until the letdown sensation subsides and I've never had any leakage. It kindof works like those silicone pressure cups that some women choose to use instead of pads. It works for me even when baby is nursing on one side and I don't want milk gushing out of the other side. The milk is still there, it's just you manually telling your body not to release it yet. It's another option you might not have thought about anyway. FYI.
Now, if I could just get running water to stop triggering my letdown!
Cheers!

Hi there,
just a note about cloth nursing pads...I used them until I got thrush (due to antibiotics given to me because of a c-section). Make sure you change them very often because any moisture may cause thrush or make it worse if you already have it. My thrush is gone and I am back to cloth; I think mine are either Gerber or Johnson and Johnson. I really like them and they are thinner than the Kushies...I don't like the kushies at all.
Good luck!

I use Bravado nursing pads.  They have terry for absorbency and a nylon mesh layer against the breast.  I believe that Mother-ease also makes nursing pads, but I've never used them.
