Although there are several things that could cause a poopy smell, when I had this recently, it was detergent build up after an extended stay at my in-laws' (with horrible water and Tide, probably too much at that, since MIL helped wash the diapers). Although we are still adjusting, after a move, to new water, new washer, and new detergent, so still have some kinks to work out, what did help that smell to go away was a prolonged soak in hotHOThotHOT water and a load of vinegar, and then repeated hot washes without detergent to get out the crud.
This may not be your problem, but given that it is more-often-used diapers, and the Sandys, which have an extra layer of terry, it may be worth considering. |
