| My informal scientific poll. |

| I have a TL and I use All Free and Clear 3x concentrate with about half a capful (or half the max recommended detergent). I think we have average water hardness (not soft, but not hard) and it seems to clean pretty well. It also depends on how full my load of diapers is, though. Anna |

| I use Charlie's Soap in a top loader. I use 1 scoop (1 T). I can't ever remember if it is hard or soft, but it's the one when you are supposed to use less soap/detergent. |

| I use Arm & hammer sensitive in a top loader. |
| Dreft, a little more than half the amount usually called for, normal water hardness/softness, cold rinse no deterg, hot wash, cold rinse no vinegar. Did not need to increase water heater temp. I sprinkle baking soda over each diaper as I toss them in the pail. |

| I have a TL and use 1 scoop of Claudia's choice detergent. I seldom have to strip the diapers since switching to this brand. Our water is very hard (just ask my kettle) but we do have a water softener. |

| I have a top loader, and very hard water (lots of calcium in it). I use Arm & Hammer Free, only 1/4 to 1/2 of the cup for a full load, very hot water and a couple of extra rinses. Every so ofter I would throw in some borax. |

I use Tide in my front loader. I do a prewash with about half a tablespoon of detergent and then a heavy cycle with hot water, maybe more 3 tablespoons of Tide, and an extra rinse. My diapers also soak in a wet pail with vinegar. If I find they are a bit smelly, I try to hang them out in the sun or add vinegar to the wash.

| I use 1/4 cup soapnut liquid and 1 tsp of Calgon to soften our hard (i think it's hard) water in a TL. |

| I alternate between Nature Clean and President's Choice Free Unscented - whichever one I happen to pick up! I use less than a 1/4 cup with my TL. I t hink out water is on the soft side. |

| Purex Free and Clear, 1/2 capful or less, TL, very hard water. I'm also paranoid about detergent buildup so I always do an extra rinse cycle after the wash. |
