  diaper blowouts...why?? (OLY)

I have been happily using ME for nearly all 8 months of my daughter's life but suddenly am having blowouts (sorry to be graphic but they are all up and out the back). I use a L AF cover and have used both MEOS and Sandys with the same problem. My daughter is almost 25 lbs and almost 8 months old, is breastfed and is eating solids once a day. Any suggestions?? One of these blowouts happened on a plane trip Any help would be most appreciated!!

Do they usually happen when she's doing a certain thing? Like sitting in a seat/swing, exersaucer, etc. Is it all of the sudden or has it just been a gradual thing that is now getting out of hand? Has she eaten anything that has changed her consistency of the BM to make it more runny and prone to blowouts? Usually when a blowout happens it's due to the BM having nowhere to go but up the crack and backbone(a natural "path of least resistance"). Most of the time elastic stops it's path like a dam. Have you recently adjusted where you snap them? Sounds odd, but could you pull the diaper down just a little to give the BM a "pocket" to go into(crotch area)? I know that you'd think the opposite is true and you'd want the diaper to fit higher up her back. But where does the BM go? Up her back....
Cheers!

Although my little guy is 19 months, he weighs only about 24 pounds.  He is still in Medium AF using the middle snap.  Perhaps you need to go down a size to get a tighter fit on the cover.  My guy has BM's 4 or 5 times a day.  They do often get on the cover, but never escape them.

All the best!
