  AF covers with prefolds (ontariangirl)

I am thinking about using prefolds for my next little one as i find the OS so big on newborns.  I love AF covers and was wondering if the small AF cover would work with prefolds.

Yes, they will, no problem. Some people like the Rikki Wraps better for PF due to the side gussets and snugger fit. But I know people who have used the regular AF snap covers also. You're basically just looking for a barrier to keep the wet in.
Cheers!

Although I haven't used prefolds myself, my understanding is that the Rikki is better if you just want to lay the prefold in (there's a little flap in the front to kind of slide the top of the prefold into).  I suspect that with the AF you'd want to use something like a snappi to snug the diaper, since the cover isn't as snug, but if you've got something like that, no reason an AF shouldn't work, I'd think.  I like them much better myself!

That was my main diapering system with my first son. No problems at all. I don't like the Rikkis, I find velcro irritating on their bellies.

We use PF with Rikkis everyday. Love it! Have tried the AF covers as well but prefer them for nighttime use with the Sandy's. I find the jelly-roll method of folding the PF works like a charm for those explosive poops! (you can find a good video @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9UId1SKn1c).
