Has anyone tried using micro-suede instead of fleece as a liner to wick moisture away from baby's bum?  How does it compare?  I've heard that it can be used as an alternative to fleece, but I wonder if it is effective.  I have a bunch of micro-suede that I was going to use to recover a chair and never got around to it and I'm wondering if this would be a good use for it...

If it's the same thing as suedecloth then it works great. Suedecloth is used in a lot of pocket diapers (like Bum-Genius) instead of fleece and works great. It doesn't pill like fleece does although I think it might stain just a smidge more (still wayyyy less than cotton though).

Basically if it dries really quickly and lets moisture pass through easily then it should work fine.

Thanks Karen! I'm a rookie when it comes to cloth diapering (other than wearing them 3 decades ago)  I've been reading through the old posts like crazy trying to get a handle on this maze of possibilities.  I've read so many of your responses in the forums that I feel like I know you  Your experience is much appreciated!
