where do your diapers rise to in the front? (mom_to_twins)

I just replaced all my boys' large cotton Sandy's with bamboo. I had some cotton toddle-ease in a box and pulled one out today for a comparison. I was kicking myself thinking I could have bought the toddle-ease. The large Sandy's fall below the belly button. I put on the toddle-ease and it actually comes to the belly-button, but then I noticed it just slides down and creates bulk. The rest fits just fine (the cut only seems to be different in the rise). I am wondering if I should sell the large now while the are almost new if I can get a good price for them or if I should stick to them. I think my boys, premature twins, will potty-train late and will probably end up needing the toddle-ease at some time, but I don't want more bulk than needed. The boys are 17 months and 27-29 lbs already. Any thoughts?

I don't have any specific advice, but just wanted to say that when my DS PTed, right around 34/35 lbs (and _very_ chunky!), the L Sandys were still fitting him fine with one liner (at night, say).  I could get two liners in there if I had to, and the diaper was still okay, but I just had to be very careful with being tucked into the L cover.  I think that if he hadn't quickly become dry at night I probably could have continued to use the L Sandys for quite a while longer, but would have bought XL covers.

With Timothy in the Toddle-ease for just one pee, I saw that they are too big. They fall to where the large ones do around his hips and just have extra bulk in the front. I feel better! We have enough trouble with pants fitting, so we don't need any extra bulk.

Something else to make you feel better is that you'll likely have better resale value in the Lg Sandy's than in the Toddle-Ease. More people need the Sandy's than do the Toddle-Ease since not all children end up needing that big a size. Even if you don't get more $$ for them, you'll likely at least find it easier to resell them. I've sold some Toddle-Ease a couple times and always found it harder than the Sandy's.

Karen.

My DS sandys go to underbelly.  It does not affect anything.  He is 21 mths and 28 pounds.  He is short.  I kinds like it this way.  That way I know we have enough coverage in the back for blow out protection.  Hope this helps.
