question question about sizing of sandy's vs. toddle-ease (mjs)

Hi,
i have a question about the sizing/construction of sandy's vs. toddle-ease... i would like to know if the toddle-ease has more layers of thickness than the equivalent fabric in a sandy's?

i am asking because i have two toddle-ease in organic cotton which i have had for some time now and recently bought three sandy's in bamboo (as my son was complaining that they were too bulky), and i see no size difference!  so i'm wondering did my organic toddle-ease just shrink?  or are toddle-ease just bulkier (not bigger size) to deal with toddler size wetting?  would organic cotton sandy's be equally as thick as organic cotton toddle-ease?

thanks

Well, it's not an enormous difference but there should be a small difference at the waist I believe and definetly a difference in the rise. There might be a difference in the thickness (although if there is it's not much more) I'm not sure, but there's definetly a difference in size. Sometimes it's hard to see just by looking at them but you can tell the difference when you actually put the diaper on and can use the smaller snap settings on the Toddle-Ease.

Karen.

I was looking at this recently. From what I can tell, both the L Sandy's and toddle-ease have three layers inside (total of five layers). The waist appears the same, but the rise is higher. Perhaps e-mailing Mother-ease would help you figure this out for sure. I do recall looking at the XL covers before I believe that with them the only difference from the L was the rise.

thanks for the replies... i think as i have washed the newer sandy's a few more times they are beginning to shrink as well, and i can now see a size difference between them and the toddle-ease.  i do like how thin the bamboo sandy's are compared to the organic toddle-ease though.  hopefully they won't shrink *too* much more
