After one disastrous disposbale trip with my 4 mo-old super-pooper, we now always travel with cloth, although I've never gone anywhere non-family (i.e. not had to find own washing machine). If I knew the hotel had a washer or that one wouldn't be hard to find, I'd absolutely go for it. I did not use cloth for air travel, since for us that meant about 24 hours from leaving to destination, and I didn't have room to carry enough diapers w/ dirties plus all the other stuff I needed for carry-on (technically I had the space, because kids get their own bag, but one has only so many hands...) Now that we are in the country and travelling by car, it's cloth all the way. I bring a large diaper pail and keep it in the trunk. I have used garbage bags before (with air travel) and they worked fine fine, too. Go for it! |
