question Skipping Sizes in Covers? (retromamma)

Have any of you skipped a size in MEAF covers?  I seem to recall reading a post like this a year ago when I began to research cloth and ME.  We're into the MEOS full time now [finally bought enough dipes and can retire the Bummis system we used for the first 3 mos].  At this rate of growth [he's 16lbs, 15oz at 4 mos!] I'm sure he'll outgrow the Medium covers in a month or two since he's already in the 6-9 mo clothes!  DS is long, has a small bum, but chunky thighs [on the AFs we usually do the middle snaps at the waist and the loose snaps for the leg openings]. I'm afraid to invest in M/Ls if he'll only be in them for a few months, and I'm reluctant to buy used since they'll be in full rotation.  The jump from Meds to Larges is a 7lb gap, but anyone found the sizing to be more forgiving with the Larges?  Since he'll be in the Larges the longest [I hope] I'd rather invest in those. Any thoughts? Thanks!

go for it! I had 1 m/l and it was so close in size to the mediums that I used it with my mediums and sold it with my mediums too. I think you'll be just fine going from mediums to larges and skipping that combo size.
Cheers!
