I use baby wash cloths as wipes for diaper changes. Do you think I need to keep these cloths separate from the baby wash cloths that I use to wash my baby at bath time? Or once they've been washed, are they good for anything?

I do the same, and I do keep mine separate, but that is really because they go in the pail with dirty diapers, get washed with them, taken off the drying rack with them, etc, so they just stay grouped. Personally, I think that when diapers or wipes are clean, they're clean.  With only one in diapers, I no longer needed as many wipes, so I moved some to kitchen face cloths.  If it makes sense for you to use cloths from a single stash, as long as they have been washed, I don't see a problem with it.

To me, it seems the only people who would have a problem with it are people who don't use cloth diapers so they assume they aren't "as clean" as other laundry. Less informed people tend to visualize our washers full of poo(and the rest of our clothes too!) because they just don't know better. If it doesn't bother you, then do it. I used mine for both until a daycare parent of mine asked me flat out if I used them for hands & butts too(it was more the look I saw in their eyes more than the question itself that told me the correct answer would be "no, certainly not", even though I did use them for both). So we do have "butt" wipes and "hand" wipes now, but only because of that exchange. Not because they are any less clean. If anything, I feel the dipes & wipes are probably more clean than everything else because of the wash routine cloth dipes tend to have! Extra rinses, hot washes, special soaps with no buildup, no fabric softeners, etc.
