I would think that a good cleaning and maybe a boiling would do just fine. Pretty sure that's happened to me a couple times in the past and to be perfectly honest I'm not even sure if I boiled it (washed it really well with really hot water obviously but I don't think I boiled it).
I mean, hot water & soap are good enough for our hands after cleaning the toilet, after wiping ourselves or after changing a diaper. I can't see where washing & boiling wouldn't be enough for a dropped Diva Cup. But that's just me and I've always been pretty relaxed about the whole 'germ' thing...
I looked it up on their website though, and you're right, they do say to replace it if it's 'exposed to unsanitary conditions' like dropping in a toilet. Considering experts often point out how a lot of people's toilets have less germs/bacteria than their kitchen sinks, I'm not sure what that means exactly... Suppose it's up to you and what you feel comfortable with. Personally I think they're only trying to protect themselves...
