Sandy's sizing - does it compare to the AIO (pbresolin)

The reason I'm asking is because I want to get some Sandy's for my daughter and I'm not sure what size to get her.  Common sense tells me to get the large since she is about 20 lbs.  She is quite short thought and her older brother is almost 3 and still only 30 lbs, and shes's smaller than him.  I have a large AIO that fits her very well on the tightest snap setting.  Thanks for any help.

I haven't used the AIOs, but if you do a search on the forum, you can probably find comments that they run a bit small. Or at least that's what I seem to recall reading.

How long S Sandys can be used can really vary by baby.  My DS#1 was out of them by 17.5 or so, while DS#2 was able to wear them to maybe 22 or 23 lbs.  If she's short, they'd probably be fine for now, but for the money I'd get the L, because they can be used at even lower weights and will get you to PT.  If you're concerned about the bulk, maybe bamboo?  You could always get one of each (maybe the trial package?).

I'd definetly say get the larges. Since she's on the petite side, the smalls would probably fit her for a while to come but the larges probably will as well and will for much longer. In my experience the Sandys in general are quite flexible in their sizing. My son (tall and thin) started in the larges at about 17lbs. The smalls may have fit as well but we had used other brands up till that point and I figured it was pointless to get smalls for such a short time. They were a little big at first but they worked fine. My twins started wearing some larges at about 17lbs as well, but still fit in the smalls till 22-23lbs. So basically they both fit fine for almost a year!

Remember that you can always return any unused & unwashed diapers... Or you could try a trial pack like aavt suggested (just call for the Sandy's intro pack).

Karen.

You're right.  I'll get the larges.  It doesn't make sense to get something that I will only use for a short time and then maybe have to buy again.  Thanks so much!
