I've been reading alot about the bamboo diapers coming apart and have heard that ME has corrected this problem. Does anyone know when they changed the binding/material on them? I purchased my Bamboo OS in August 2008 and was wondering if I got the good batch or bad batch? So far so good ( I love them!) but i've only been using them for 3 months.

You can contact ME directly (their customer service is excellent) to make sure, but I'm sure that if you bought your diapers new in August that the problem was addressed well ahead of that.  I bought a bamboo OS in fall 2007 and didn't have any problems until summer 2008, and ME replaced the diaper at that time (and that was fairly late in the game for people's diapers being replaced because of the binding problem).  I think it was maybe late 2007/early 2008 that they switched the binding?  Contact ME to put your mind at ease, but remember that they stand behind their products for one child's worth of normal wear and tear.

Your diapers should definitely be from the good batch! I bought mine in the very first batch in 2007, but for some reason they didn't start coming apart until after a full year of use. So I contacted Mother-Ease this summer (not sure which month, but probably July or August 200 and they replaced my whole stash with new ones. So if you bought yours at that same time, they will be new ones. No worries!

I got my first 'batch' of replacements in like January or February of 08 so I would think you'd be fine having bought yours in the summer of 08. Only way it wouldn't be is if you bought them from a distributor (other than ME themselves) that still had leftover stock.

Karen.

With all this good batch / bad batch talk, should I be worried about purchasing the bamboo MEOS right now?  Or should I feel confident that if a problem does arise in 6 months, a year, or so on, that MotherEase will replace / correct the problem for me?  I have been dying to get these, and right now we can afford it (tax returns!!!), but I am now hesitant.  Any advice?
