Thin areas on Bamboo MEOS? (newtwinmommy)
Posted: 7:42:33 am on 1/12/2009 Modified: Never

The other day while folding a load of diapers, I happened to notice a good sized 'thin area' of fabric on one of my bamboo OS diapers!!  I of course immediately dug around in the basket for my other bamboo OS and sure enough, several of them had some thin areas.
The thin areas seem to mostly be around seams, like where the binding is sewn to the terry, or where the sewn-in soaker is sewn to the main diaper. Is anyone else having this issue???

I remember a thread awhile back about 'burn spots/bald areas' on some Bamboo Sandys.  I definitely would not consider this to be the same.  Yes, I have used bleach VERY FEW times, when I had some horrendus ammonia issues.  But it was never more than 1/4 cup in my extra large washer on full load.  I would say that I've used bleach maybe 3-4 times.

And I checked out all of my Bamboo Sandys, no problems.  And also no problems on my Bamboo snap in liners.  Only my Bamboo OS!  I am going to contact ME, but just wanted to see if anyone else was noticing anything.  TIA!

Call them. I don't have the OS, just Sandy's. But if you are having issues, get on it. They can only address an issue if they know about it.
Good Luck!

Hmm, well I sent an email a few days ago, and still have not heard anything back.  I am always hesitant to make phone calls, it never fails that as soon as I get on the phone one of the twins decides to have a melt down, hehehe.
Maybe I'll wait another day or so and then resend the email...

I finally heard back from ME and they want me to sent in one of my diapers so they can take a look at the problem..
Its really strange, because all of my diapers are washed together all the time, and only my Bamboo One Size are having the problem, not my Bamboo Sandys.  I will be anxious to hear their response.

This sounds similar to Daisy Cat`s issues....If so, you are the second person to cmplian about this. Please keep us posted on the outcome as I have over 20 bamboo dipes myself.
Thanks and good luck!

This problem seems to be popping up more and more  I truly hope that it can be resolved in a positive manner.
I am sorry about your diapers, that must be very frustrating and disapointing.  Good Luck

Could you advise of your washing routine on the "attention" thread? I am trying to get everybody's info in 1 area for ME to try to trouble shoot the problem. I have a Sandy with a bald spot also.
