I suspect it's related to dh having done a complete erasing of all cookies, history etc etc yesterday because I didn't have any problems before. But now I can't seem to reply to existing posts. I'm thinking I can start new threads (so far so good anyway) but that's it. If I try to reply the message field is greyed out with a big "x" and it says "Please wait, loading edit control". Tried fiddling around a bit, wiht no luck.
Am I alone this time?

Yes, it's very strange. I can't even reply to my own thread. Even modifying my post like I'm doing now is tricky. When I press modify I get the same greyed out message field but since there's already something in the field (from my previous post) I press submit and get to the 'preview' screen. From there I can press modify again and get to a real message field to type something out. I suspect it's partly because of what was done yesterday to erase all cookies and such, but these are the exact problems many of us were having in the past (and I'm not having any problems anywhere else but this board).

Still having the same problems. Can't reply at all, I can only start threads or modify my existing posts (and even then only with a little back and forth with the submit and back buttons). I'm in contact with Rick at ME and he's trying to help me but the web people can't seem to duplicate or fix my problem. The web people are supposed to get into direct contact with me so I'm waiting and hoping that they'll be able to help cause I'm in serious withdrawal. If anyone is having similar problems, please email ME, maybe they'll be able to figure it out if others give details about their issues. Anyway, I'm still around reading everything, I'll be posting as soon as I can!

Hey Karen, I haven't had reply problems, but have to say that hubbie has also cleared out history, etc. before without causing any problems. I've had a few times recently on the board that I've gotten some sort of error, but if I go back it doesn't happen again. I got timed out yesterday on a reply, but that was truly a long time as I got reading on something else and came back. So I hate to say it, but I wonder if it is just you . . . |

That's funny, I have never had problems posting, and I never saw the message you are receiving, but just now when I tried replying to a post I was asked to login again and then I wasn't taken back to my post, but to the main Forum page, and my post is nowhere to be found :-(

That sounds like what I was having a while back when I posted about it. Rick from ME asked us to e-mail with our OS and a description of the problem so he could pass it along to their web developer. After I did that, my problem went away. Fanfreluche, until it gets fixed, after you re-login, go "back" and you should be able to get to your message and then submit. Or that worked for me, anyway. Very annoying, so I was glad when it stopped. I noticed a few days ago that there's this new green bottom banner everywhere, and wonder if when that got added if something got tweaked that is now causing some problems? |

Woohoo!! I'm back baby!! LOL! They had me try a new browser (on Firefox right now) and everything seems fine now!
Big big kudos and thanks to Rick at Mother-Ease and Kyle at Netstart for their help! Lots of companies would have just dismissed this, especially since it doesn't seem to be affecting the whole board. But Rick took the time to email me several times and even had their net people call me personally to help me out! They're still working on figuring out why I was having problems with Explorer but at least now I can post!! Yippee!

And the plus is that Firefox doesn't have the security loopholes they seem to keep discovering with Explorer . . .
