AIOs What do you think? (Lona E)

I'm on my second child and cloth diaper full time and all of the sudden I've had enough of the covers and diapers being separate.  My son is 16 months and I find I am putting training pants on him usually toward the end of the day when I'm sick of changing his OS and AF covers.  What are people's experiences with AIOs been like?  I am considering getting six or so of them and using them in conjunction with training pants and getting rid of my OS and Sandy's if and when this works out.  I have bedwetter pants already for when he grows into them so the night time will be covered.

I like to use a wet pail.  Does anyone wet pail with the AIOs?  Anything different I'd need to do to take care of them.  Are they really bulky?

I have one ME AIO that I have been trying out and I find it rather trim.  I used some Kushies AIO's that were 2nd and 3rd hand and found that they leaked really easily so I wonder if AIO's have a shorter life expectancy than fitteds with covers.  I really like the fit of the ME AIO but as you will hear about AIO's it takes a while to dry completely.  They started to smell a little on me and I think it was because they weren't ever getting completely dried out (they would seem dry but I suspect not getting dry all the way through).  My first daughter is only 8 months so I am still a newbie but thati s my two cents.  :-)

Thanks for the feedback.  How do you wash/care for your AIOs?  Do you put them in the dryer at all?  I'm finding I line dried my diapers with my first child but just don't have the time with the second.

I have been putting them in the dryer and then finishing them on the line in my basement.  I live in Winnipeg, Canada so it is way too cold to line dry outside right now but when it is warmer I plan to line dry just to try and extend the life of the diapers.

How do these fit compared to Sandys.  I'm thinking of doing the same thing and getting some AIO's to suppliment training pants.  I'm tired of wet spots.

I just got my AIOs and love them.  We're in Canada too so I will dry in the drier for the next bit anyways.  Thanks for the feedback.

I love the fit.  I find them to be a bit trimmer than the Sandy's and a cover because it is just the one piece.  They are smaller than OS or Sandy's with covers but bigger than training pants.  We have had many issues with trying to find a good diaper for at night time the last few weeks and I am excited to say the AIOs are doing very well for us so far at night!  I am washing them in cold with soapnuts to extend their life.  If I could afford it, I would use just AIOS but it's not that feasible and the diaper pail would fill up pretty quickly.  We're using AIO's, OS, and training pants on our son now.

Hi Lona - I see you got your AIO's a few months ago. I'm wondering how they've been holding up for you? I'm considering going with them exclusively. TIA
