  Outgrowing Extra Smalls (Jacks1st)

My daughter is almost 4 months old, and is wearing x-small sandies. They are soaked within 1 - 1/2 hours of wearing, but they still fit fine. Should I be moving up to the one size? Does this often happen that they outgrow the absorbancy before the size?
Thanks.

If they still are fitting her properly you probaby just need to add a liner to increase the absorbancy.  She's probably drinking more since she's bigger therefore peeing more.  When you put the liner in it may make it so the diapers are too small and then you may find you need to go up to the OS or Small Sandy.

I personally found the Sandy's to be more absorbant than the OS but that may be because I use the OS alot more so they are more worn.

If you go to products pages, you can see the absorbancies for the different diapers.  The S Sandys is less absorbant than the OS, while the L Sandys is more absorbant.

Although I haven't used the XS, I think that PPs point that adding a liner might make the XS too small is probably a good one--though of course that all depends on how the XS is fitting right now.  This is when it'd be nice not to have to weigh shipping and handling costs when you want to experiment!

Yeah, my sister-in-law had the same experience. Her baby outgrew the absorbancy of the xsmalls before she outgrew the actual size. She just moved up to the smalls at that point. You could either move up to the One-Size or just add a liner.

If the liners you have are too big (I can see the One-Size liners being pretty big/bulky in such a small diaper) you could always just use a cut-up old towel or receiving blanket. It's most likely just a matter of a few weeks at most before she totally outgrows the xsmall so you really only need a temporary solution, probably not worth the cost of buying small liners.

Karen.
