DD Pee'd straight through OS (mommy2)

Today after her nap, my DD peed straight through her MEOS Bamboo and her wool longies right onto the floor.    This is the third time this has happened. The first time she had a snap in liner in the diaper, the second time and this time she did not.  What should i do?  DD is only 17 1/2 mths. old, so she is no where near PTing. and she isn't a heavy wetter (except after naps.)  Any ideas?

Yikes!  As kids get older, they start holding onto pee for longer periods of time, and when they let go, it can be forceful (as you've experienced!).  I guess I'd make sure you have a liner in her diaper, but beyond that the only thing I can suggest is putting her in an Airflow/Rikki for naps (or right after).
My other thought, though, is that you could view this as a good thing, and if she's dependably peeing at that time, not only is she getting more routine and going longer periods (i.e. good things for PTing), but maybe you could try having her use the potty after naps since she's likely to meet with success.  That's not launching full out PTing or anything, but it could be a good opportunity to start the dialogue, if that makes sense.  It really depends on where you both are at (like if she's really negative right now, maybe it's not worth it), but it might be worth dabbling with a bit?

Thanks. I think i will have to give a pul cover a try for naps.  She is just holding her pee for naps.  She is able to hold it for up to 4 hrs. during naptime with 2.5 being the norm and does it for 99% of naps. The odd thing is that she has been doing this since she was about 5 mths old, but just recently started peeing through diapers.
Anyhow, thanks again mama.

You are right about the PTing, I have been toying with the idea of putting her on the potty after naps for a while now and think she would have great success with doing so after naps. Especially since she typically waits 5 min. or so after getting up before she goes. I guesse we will try today.
Thanks again

I have recently started putting my 8 month old on the potty when she usually poos and have met with great success (4 poos on the potty so far).  It is not potty training but it has made me realize how useful their routines can be.  Before I tried I was very sceptical but after doing this it has helped her constipation and she seems to feel better.  Just my 2 cents  :-)

DD started to make grunting noises one day (a couple weeks ago) while I was changing a pee diaper. I rushed her to the toilet and sat there for 45 minutes!! Nothing came of that. Again it happened the next day, and nothing happened. She's 12 months old and would LOVE to start introducing the potty, but how? She doesn't let me know when she's going...so does that mean its way too soon?

Oh, I would also suggest using a ME cover, I've never had a leak with that much absorbancy available!
