Do SMALL AFs and Rikki's work over XSM Sandys? (lori_limited)

I understand that the xsm AFs and Rikki's only fit over the xsm diapers, but I was wondering if it would work to just use SMALL AF's and Rikki's over the XS Sandy's? Would this defeat the trimness of using the XSm diaper?

Hi,
I know motherease suggests only using x-small airflow or rikki's over x-small sandy's. The x-small and small airflow have the same weight range on them but to hold them up together the small have a higher rise and are a bit wider. I personally bought 2 x-small airflow and 1 rikki to go with my x-small sandy's. I also bought 2 small airflow covers. I never used the small covers over the x-small sandys. I am still using my small covers over my onesize even though my son is over 12 lbs because they still fit well.
It will really depend on how long you use the x-smalls. If you have a small baby who doesn't gain weight very fast the x-small will last you longer than they did for me. If you plan on using them for more than one baby then they would be worth it. I was only able to use them only for one baby, but I don't regret buying them.

I would think that the S covers would work over XS diapers; can't think of any reason they wouldn't. They might, as you say, reduce the trimness benefits, but as the covers are so thin, once babe is dressed I don't think you'd notice, as the covers sort of smush down. It's really the size of the diaper underneath that makes most of the bulk.
