question ME Swim Diapers (wickenching)
Posted: 6:55:41 pm on 3/9/2009 Modified: 6:56:01 pm on 3/9/2009

I am looking at buying a ME swim diaper for my 25lb DD.  Can anyone offer advice regarding fit?  Medium is 18-30lbs.  Do they fit true to size?  I have used Gabby's and Kushies swim diapers but would love to stick with ME!

Thanks for any advice!
Brenda

Hello,

I have never used ME swim diapers but I was looking at buying them so I did a search in past forum entries and everyone seems to agree that they fit really small and people seem to use the large almost right away. DS is 25 lb and I concluded that I would need a large for him. Hope that helps!

My guy is tall and skinny and I found that the size was correct in terms of weight for him.  They should fit a bit snug so that they keep everything in.

Our little guy is tall and skinny and about 25lbs right now...  He has the medium ME swim diaper but he's on the last snap on both the leg and waist...  So if you're looking at a swim diaper to last you all the way to the fall, I'd go with a large.

I recently bought a swim diaper for my DS.  He was just over 20 lbs. at the time but the medium was way too small for him.  I had to return it for the large.  My guy is pretty hefty though.  When I called, we discussed sizing for them and they did say that the medium would only fit up to an 11 inch round thigh.  My ds's thighs were already that big so that was why it didn't fit.  I can't remember what the waist sizing was but you could call and ask.  I think it would be more accurate to go by those measurements than the weight measurements in this case.

Thank you all!  I will stick with the large.  Can't wait to try it!

Sounds like you're set, but I wanted to say that ME customer service is very good about e-mailing you right back with complete waist, thigh, and rise measurements for sized diapers/training pants, etc.
