| Hey there. Has anyone ever had pink stains on their diapers? If so, do you know why they showed up, and how you got rid of them? I've been trying to sun them, but it's been overcast the last couple days. Maybe that will eventually do the trick? I wash them and my OS together, but my OS are fine. Any thoughts? |

Mine always seems to be related to foods or juices. They always soak out for me. I just soak my poo dipes until they are gone, then wash. Yes, I have soaked for days if necessary. Sun gets almost everything out. You might be fine that way. And just remember that they are clean, even though they might not look perfect. It's just a diaper. A little stain is okay. It's better than ruining your dipe trying to get it stark white again. |

Thank you! My son is only 2 mos, still strictly nursing, so it must be something else. And, the pinkish orange color is only in the absorbant core, not around the edges! It has to be a chemical reaction to a combination of things. So wierd!
Yes, you are right- I know they are clean, but I need to sell them! Hopefully the sun will work, and if not, maybe some mommas out there would still want to buy them! |

Oh sure. I think us mamas would still buy them. Still exclusively nursing, is the pinkish staining around the outer boarders of poo area? Do you pre-rinse your dipes or spray them off? I remember that when my son was EBF, he would have an orange boarder left around where his poo had been after I sprayed it off before washing. Usually his poo was really quite green when this happened, making quite a colorful diaper. It was just his system rushing through the breast milk before it could curd & be the normal orange EBF poo we know & love! My only other thought really, that it's a left over poo boarder. But most stains sun out brilliantly if left out for days, or inside in a south facing window. Don't fret yet mama, keep the faith sister! |

It's an all over color, front and back! And, in the center stitching on some. What is really strange- it's only my sandys, not my OS! And, it turns more pinky-orange when they are wet! I dry pail, and do a cold pre rinse and hot wash. Maybe it's the TTO on my wipes, or vinegar in the rinse, or my hard water, or any combination!
Thanks for the words of encouragement! |

Are your sandy's a different material than your OS? Do you use them interchangably or do you use one at certain times of the day? I'm trying to narrow it down for you mama. You're right, it might be some sort of chemical reaction, but only on your sandy's... Strange. |

| Nope, same material! I use them interchangeably too. We're having rain again today- probably wont get to sun them thoroughly till Sunday! |

here's another idea.... Have you "searched" for "pink stains" in the search box up above. I know I've seen mamas have this issue before but I don't remember if we ever found an answer. Maybe search the forum for "pink stain" and see if that helps. I'm also a member of the diaperswappers website, there is alot more traffic on there than here. Maybe more likely someone might have had & solved your problem before. You can search for "pink stain" as a thread topic. Don't search for it as a post, you'll be overwhelmed! Good Luck! |
