Snaps different on new AF covers (mayflower28)

I just moved my daughter into medium AF covers from the small.  Is there a reason why the snaps are reversed from the small size?  On the small ones you bring the flaps from the back and snap them over the front but with my new medium ones the front snaps over the back.  I know it probably seems like a silly thing to complain about but I had gotten so used to the other way that I find I fumble with these alot more while trying to get them on her.  I'm constantly trying to grab the back flap and bring it over!  Anyone else have this problem?  How long did it take you to adjust to the snaps being reversed?

Yep, we know what you're saying.
You'll get used to it begrudgingly.
All the other sizes are like the mediums as far as snapping goes. I wish they would just not spoil us so much with awesome snapping smalls, we just get a good routine going and then they change the questions on the test!
Arghhhh....
I thought it was my lack of sleep at first, that or I was going crazy!
My hubby still tries to put them on backwards.
Go figure!

Thanks.  I thought it was me too.  I had to dig the other ones back out again and check because I thought I was losing it.  Good to know I'm not the only one.

I'm with ya- I just got my new ones yesterday, and I really dislike the new snaps! I started to call ME today, but it was after they closed. My son is 2 months, still using a changing table, and it's so awkward snapping the new snaps!

I posted essentially the same question when I did the switch, I thought it was a conspiracy to drive sleep-deprived parents crazy ;-)

Someone suggested that since newborns spend most of their time on their back, they put the snaps towards the front. But when they get older, they spend a lot more time on their tummy, which would be why they put the snaps more towards the back.

I don't know if it's true, but it makes a lot of sense to me and it helped me accept the inevitable. Several months later, I dug up a small cover to put on a Teddy bear and I find it so awkward now to do the snaps the old way! So hang in there, you'll get used to it!

Well its not so NEW. I went threw this same thinking 4 years ago with my first child.

I'm now with #3 who is 2 weeks old. Frankly I'm confused on the smalls. I've lived with back closig ones for so long, and now 1 have 2 kids in diapes. ONE snaps fronts, the other snaps back.

BUt never learned why they are different. I think its to keep us on our toes during the the newborn baby fog

My theory is that the snaps facing backwards makes it a little harder for curious hands to undo. I use g-diapers when traveling and they have velcro straps that do up at the back of the diaper for that reason. The small sizes don't really need that feature because the babies aren't as likely to be stripping.

Hehehehe...

I went straight to Mediums to save money.  Apparently, I saved on something else too .
