I posted essentially the same question when I did the switch, I thought it was a conspiracy to drive sleep-deprived parents crazy ;-)
Someone suggested that since newborns spend most of their time on their back, they put the snaps towards the front. But when they get older, they spend a lot more time on their tummy, which would be why they put the snaps more towards the back.
I don't know if it's true, but it makes a lot of sense to me and it helped me accept the inevitable. Several months later, I dug up a small cover to put on a Teddy bear and I find it so awkward now to do the snaps the old way! So hang in there, you'll get used to it! |
