Will non-chlorine bleach (i.e. Clorox 2 or Oxyclean) or fabric softener damage my diaper covers?

I'm not sure what fabric softener would do.  You're not supposed to use it with diapers because it can cause them to repel, but that's not really a concern with covers.  Although it probably wouldn't affect function in terms of keeping things in, I guess my concern with softener is that it would clog the pores and affect the fabric's breathability, which could keep things a little warmer, maybe not be as good for rashes.
I'm not sure about the non-chlorine bleaches.  Occasional use may be fine, but it's probably not something I'd use regularly--but then mostly I just don't add things! :-)
Why are you looking to use these products?  Just wanting to throw the covers in with another load that has non-chlorine bleach and softener?  Or?

Yes, I do laundry so frequently and I'd like to just throw in the covers.  I sometimes use Oxyclean with my whites and I like the smell of fabric softener so I also add that sometimes.  In the meanwhile, I'm rinsing my covers out by hand.  Not a big deal but using the machine would be nice.

Agreed, it's nice to throw covers in with the other laundry.  I usually just toss them in with whatever load is up next when I'm running low, but don't use Oxy or softener, so have never worried about that.  The only thing I've steered clear of is a load with overalls, since I worry about those buckles coming loose and beating up my covers!  :-)

I throw mine in with the diapers. That way I don't have to worry about any additives.
