best diaper cream for CD (heather w)

I've been using cotton and bamboo CDs for some time, along with Burt's Bees Diaper Ointment and it seems to be working well but thought I'd see what others use. I saw on one website that BBs isn't that highly rated for CDs, perhaps build-up or something. We use a flushable line so I don't think it's that big a deal but before I buy more (it's pretty dear) I thought I'd get some expert opinion.
Thanks a bundle!

Has anyone else used colloidal silver? I think it works great for diaper rash (that and going naked) and assume it wouldn't leave any residue on diapers.

I've used a zinc and castor oil cream, as well as Boudreaux's Butt Paste.  Honestly, I've had to use so little diaper cream over the years that I don't think I would have had probably with almost anything.

I use Grandma Els and Weleda- Weleda is my favorite and does not seem to build up on my diapers at all.  Its a bit expensive but it has been the only cream that has worked for my son, his skin is extremely sensitive to the point of blistering if not covered.

This is the cream  http://tinyurl.com/diapercream

queen - Do you use the other Weleda products?  I am going to make homemade wipe solution.  I bought some almond and lavender oil and figured I would try a baby wash from the natural foods store and so he recommended the Weleda line.  It is pricey stuff.  I haven't tried it just yet.  My son doesn't seem to have sensitive skin so I probably won't buy it again but just wanted to get your opinion.  On the other hand, mom has sensitive skin so that is why I am careful with him, just in case.

Hi

I do use other Weleda products in the baby line. My little one seems to have a tendency toward eczema and any dairy products I ingest sets off a course of bum rashes and break outs on his cheeks both end..lol. I find the Weleda to be a great brand however it is  expensive.  The the quality can't be compared as there are plant extracts in the creams, soaps and lotions that seem to be beneficial to my son's skin.  It has natural healing properties which I like.

On that note, because the products are superior quality I find I have to use very little- in other words a little goes along way.  I will continue to use Weleda products as that is the only thing that has worked on his bottom.  I was prescribed several creams including corticosteroid and a "magic" diaper rash cream- some concoction that my paed came up with, that had a price tag of 55.00 because it was specially mixed at a local pharmacy- that didn't work.  I also used the industrial strength Ihles paste and that kept his skin protected but because of the fact it was not compatible with CDing I was becoming very discouraged.  I was alternating between cloth and disposables. The rash on his bottom was isolated to just the one area and looked like a burn- actually blistered and bled at times.

I am finally happy to say (he is 4 months) and he began with the rash at 5 days old we are nearly over it.  With out the Weleda I am sure I would have given up entirely, on BF and CDing.

hope that helps
Lisa
