Bedwetter - Toddle-Ease or Bedwetter Trainers (wimama)

My 3 year old son is daytime pottytrained, but wets the bed at night. I have always used fitteds and wool for him at night.  He is now waking up at night asking to go pee and our current night diapers are hard to put back on in the middle of the night.  They are front snap fitteds with snake style soakers or toddler prefolds.

I want something that will pull up and down easily for him.  I like the idea of using the Toddleease with his wool shorties and longies.  He is 40 pounds and we would probably need to use the doubler.

Do you think the Toddleease would be big and stretchy enough on him to pull up and down?  Could I still pull it up and down for him and not have to fight with the doubler moving all around?

I am also considering the option of the Bedwetter Trainers, but I prefer not to use PUL outer, especially in the summer.  He is a hot and sweaty little guy when he sleeps.

You could try it but I would think you would have trouble getting everything back on without bunching and shifting. A lot does depend on his build though. I'm currently in the same situation with my almost 4 year old twins and I'm getting them some bedwetter pants. My girls are also about 40lbs and with the liners the Toddle-Ease are getting rather snug. They still fit fine and all but they're getting snug enough that pulling up/down would be difficult, especially keeping the liners in place inside.

All I can suggest is if the Toddle-Ease fit well and you really don't like the option of bedwetting pants maybe you could sew the liners to the Toddle-Ease? That way there'd be a lot less shifting and it would work a lot better (don't know if it would be perfect but it would help a lot).

Karen.

well i've never seen the bedwetting pants but i have a couple of toddlease that i got for my daughter..i think i used it once and had to change her within the hour because it was so unbelievably bulky she couldn't get comfortable enough to go to sleep. They are made like a Sandy's so already they are extra bulky with that design. It was so bulky on my daughter she had to waddle to walk...lets just say my husband and i couldn't stop laughing. This was after 2 years of using disposable so she wasn't used to the extra bulk of cloth (neither were we yet) Oh..the liner doesn't snap in so it would probably shift around when you pull it down

Thanks!  That helps a bunch.

I was leaning towards the Sandys but, I guess I will need to get him some pull up training pants.  I am going to test out some trifolded prefolds in PUL cover, to see how he does with PUL at night.  I have used wool at night for a long time, because he always wore PUL outer pockets to daycare.  I liked giving his bottom a chance to breath at night by using fitteds and wool.  But, he wears regular underwear during the day now, so maybe he will be fine with PUL at night.  I think it will be a while before he is completely night time pottytrained, so I need to figure something out something easier for those night time potty trips.
