Mourning the loss of cloth diapering (wickenching)

Hi Ladies,

For more than 4 years now I have religiously checked this forum.  I have learned so much from so many of you and I thank you!

My youngest (and last) has been without diapers now for almost one month.  She went from diapers all the time to zero diapers in one day.  It was amazing, but I find I am mourning a little over "the loss of diapering!"  I am desperate, lost cause with an obsession for cloth, but no bums to put it on!!!!!

I love Mother Ease and have used One Size primarily and small Sandies for the early months.  The AIO's have been useful and high quality like everything else.  I know I don't need to tell any of you that, but I feel a little like eulogizing!

I am sure I will still be nosing around here regularly as old habits die hard.  I tell anyone who will listen to buy Mother Ease.

If anyone is looking for anything, I am sure I have it!  Pick up in Ottawa, ON.  Lovingly used, hung to dry in the beautiful sunshine.

Good bye fluffy bum, I will miss you dearly.

Brenda

I sooooo understand what you mean. I'm in a similar situation with my twins except mine still do wear a diaper at night. So I've got a little while yet but the time will be here all too soon I'm afraid and these are my last children so fluffy bums are gone for good then! You know, disposable diaper users (and probably a lot of cloth users too) would read this and think we're totally nuts to miss diapering!! LOL! They would KNOW I'm crazy when they read that I've already started to think about grandchildren and how I hope my kids use them when the time comes!! LOL! Maybe I need a hobby??

Karen.

I think in a way cloth diapering can be a hobby. My hubby thinks I'm crazy, but i have so much fun researching the diferent types of dipes, and testing them out. I'm at the other end in that I'm really just starting the diapering journey, but I can see where I will be sad to see it go at the other end. I guess I'll just have to keep having babies

You know, I really do think it says a lot about cloth diapering that it transforms the time in diapers from something icky to something we can enjoy.

I am sad too.  He is out of the night time too.  I agree on the hobby thing.

Where I can get cloth diapers in India?

I have no idea what is available in India, but I do know that Motherease will ship there. I'm not sure what the rates are, but ME diapers are an excellent product.

Depending on what shipping rates are, etc., I'd expect that flat-folds must be locally available; I'd wonder about using those with something like a snappi and covering them with ME's awesome (and light, i.e. cheaper to ship) covers?
