Cause I'm clueless!
I have always used a diaper sprayer since day 1. I am spoiled! We went on vacation last year to a relative's house & they had a removable shower head on a flexible hose. So we once again has a diaper sprayer!
But next Friday, we stay at a Holiday Inn for 3 days. I don't want to use posies, I have never and will never use those things! I can stretch out the washing to home since we will spend alot of time in the pool at the theme park & also at the hotel.
But this dunk n swish thing has me baffled! It sounds easy enough yet not. My son poos once a day and it is like peanut butter(probably from his love of actual peanut butter!). I don't think just swishing will cut it! Do you try to scrape it off? With what? Do I just wrap it up & let it set for 3 days until we get home(ugh!)?
I thought about maybe sacrificing some of his fleece liners to the trash gods. But throwing poo in the trash is kindof yucky. But you can't flush fleece either. I've heard about flushable liners but that they don't work very well and poo still gets all over anyway.
So is there an art to dunk n swish? Do I just use a gloved hand? Some sort of tool? Do I flush the toilet as I hold the diaper to rinse?
I feel like such a noob!

I'm not a dunk and swisher but I don't have a sprayer either so here's what I do.  If it's not so solid then I'll scrape off whatever I can (an empty toilet paper roll works great, then you can dunk, swish and toss the roll without your hands getting wet) and then I'll wet down the diaper in the sink and toss it in the bag.  Doesn't really stink and I don't get stains.  Happy travels!

We use the rice paper flushable liners (imse vimse); I usually try to use them until he poops (usually in the morning. They are a bit messy, if you are out you could use a wipe to grab the liner (they do a good job at holding the poop together).  For stuck on poop, in a pinch a plastic knife (not the sharp side) works well to scrape it off...

I get everything I can off into the toilet and then get the rest off under the tap (as long as you can remove the drain stopper).  Flushing itself has never been all that good to us, so I gave up a long time ago.  It all goes to the same place, anyway, and I liberally soap down the sink afterwards.

I have dunk n' swished.  My my little ones poop for the most part just falls off.  But she has some good ones that require some work.  I dunk it in and keep dipping in, if it is not comming off I shake it under the water so most comes off.  I also will flush the toilet and put the poop that is being stubborn in front of the water comming in to do the rest (hope you understood that)

hope that helps

I think if you definitely have a fleece liner in when he poops, you’ll probably be fine. If you add a disposable liner on top, that might be extra insurance. I would think the poop will come off of the fleece fairly easily with a bit of swishing. If it doesn’t, and is also on the diaper, you could try having a small pail with just a bit of water, and leave whatever has stubborn poop on it to soak for a while. Then come back to it in a couple hours or something and try another rinse in the toilet. Even if its not totally where you’d like it to be, if you put it in your wet bag quite wet, I think that it would probably wash up fine when you get home. (At least you only have 1/day to deal with!)
Have fun on vacation!
