I was totally planning on buying a dozen new xs sandy's. But, my husband told me some family were planning on ordering some for us...so we waited. Well, they haven't done it yet and now we don't really have the money budgeted to order diapers right away. Baby is due in less than 2 weeks.

So I was hoping to find some used ones to save some money and I can't seem to find them.  Awhile back I was checking other sites too and couldn't find any.

So is it because they are SO good that everyone saves them for future babies...or is it because most people just skip XS and go straight to small size?

I'm not sure if she still has them, but on page two of the Buy and sell forum there's a gal with some xsm sandy's for sale. The post is titled "**UPDATED**FS: Everything You Need" if you want to try contacting her.

From what I've read on these forums, a lot of people skip the XS sandies. For budget, many people begin with prefolds. Others start in with size Small Sandies or the OS diaps. Personally I started using cloth when my DD was two months old, and she was already into the size small sandies (she was 10 lb 7 oz at birth).  I'm really glad I used sandies, rather than prefolds, because the few times I experimented with prefolds the BM spilling onto the diaper covers (thankfully the BM never leaked out of the cover onto the clothing, though).

That said, I think the sizes being sold second-hand tends to vary month to month. Earlier this year I remember seeing more of the XS and S sizes, but now I've noticed more of the larger. Good luck!
