Just wondering if anyone has experienced this? There is no fabric left on some of mine and patches starting on others.  They are only 3months old.  I use wonder wash...wash every 3rd day....whats going on?

You should contact ME customer service directly on this one.  They will probably want details of your wash routine and pictures/sample diaper sent to them.
There were some initial problems with the binding on the bamboo OS wearing through in spots; ME replaced those faulty diapers with new ones.  Other than that, there have been a few reports (you can search old threads) of some people having wear spots, although given the number of bamboo users out there, it's not the norm.
I remember that one person who had premature wear spots on her bamboo diapers finally discovered that the previous owner had used a type of bleach on them, and there's some wondering about whether bamboo might get damaged more quickly than cotton by things like oxyclean.
ME was collecting information that could help them figure out what's causing the odd premature wear and stands by their diapers to last through one child's diapering, so I would talk to them (either call or e-mail to see what they'd like you to do).  They really do have both excellent products and excellent customer service.

just a thought in case you use it but if you swirl the dipes in the toilet...do you use a toilet cleaner that you put in the tank and leave it or maybe you still had some harsh cleaner left in the toilet when dunking the dipe??

Thanks but none of the above....i the only problem i've had was we had soft water at my parents and then it made a build up on the dipes and then they stunk so i washed them and then rinsed x4 at our house and washed with vinegar and rinsed again.  I'm going to send in a dipe to motherease

Call them directly. Get a person on the phone & get the process going. You probably will have to take pics & email them or send your diaper in. They should be able to tell you if it's something you are doing wrong or on their end. There is a thread named "survey" or something like that Erika posted a while back when this was a hot topic. She might have you fill that out when you send your dipes in.
Good luck!
I just recieved my last 7 replacement diapers today. Man, I loved the bamboo. Too bad mine didn't like me back. So it's back to mostly cotton for us now.

I'd also recomend contacting ME. Unfortunetly I was also one of the ones affected by the premature wear and had no problems getting replacements. I had to send in or two so they could examine them and determine what the cause of the problem was (ie that it wasn't a chemical thing for example) and once they saw that it was clearly just premature wear then I had no problems.

It's really a shame that the bamboo have these problems but be assured that ME stands behind their products all the way and are working on a way to fix this problem.

Karen.

My heart almost dropped yesterday as I was folding my diapers and found that one of my four bamboo MEOS has bald spots on it!  It has been used for less than 3 months!!  I've send in the survey to Erika, so hopefully either she can tell me what I've done wrong, or can exchange it for me.  I don't want this to happen to my other ones!!!  I have diapers in all the fabrics, but I have four bamboo MEOS and two large Sandys in bamboo as well.  I love them and want them to stay okay!!!  The one with bald spots I've been using for almost 3 months, but the others I've only been using for a month, so we'll see...  I know a lot of people use them with absolutely no problems and I was SO hoping to be one of those people!!!

Just wanted to share my grief as my hubby won't understand!!

I noticed on the main page for MEOS it says that the bamboo part of the bamboo diapers is made from 70% bamboo and 30% cotton, and of course the 15% polyester base.  while on the page where you purchase them (and on the tags of mine) it says 85% bamboo (well, rayon/viscose) and 15% polyester.  Did they recently have a fabric change to make their bamboo more durable by adding some cotton?  Or is the cotton just naturally part of the rayon?  Anyone know?

I got a reply and they figure it was something I did since the wear happened so quickly.  It was nice to be able to have them help me troubleshoot.  I gave them all the details and it looks like it was probably either my mom's laundry detergent or the RLR I used to strip the diapers.  But lots of people use RLR so I don't think that would be it, but who knows!  Luckily I only used my mom's detergent on that one bamboo diaper, the others I used when I came back to Malaysia.  So if it's the detergent I shouldn't have a problem with my others. whew!  And they are so kindly sending me a replacement for the ones with bald spots!
