  Leaking Troubleshooting (4daughters)

DD has been leaking a lot lately.  She is 16 months old and wearing OS diapers with a M/L cover.  He pee patterns do seem to have changed.  She is often pretty dry for a while and then will flood the diaper and leak out.  I'm not sure if its the covers or the need for liner.  I've experimented with L covers (which are quite big on her) and there are less leaks.  I'm wondering if her covers got old and now leak more or if its really a sizing issue.  Should I invest in more L covers or more liners???  I'm going through more diapers a day too so I'll need more diapers too!

I would guess that it's more about sizing than your covers wearing out.  I usually found that leaks meant it was time to move up a size, even if the cover seemed to have room left in it.
That being said, it's probably both things you note--as you daughter is going more at once (probably a good sign as she moved toward PTing, right?), you might want to put a liner in each diaper; even though she might not truly need the absorbancy total, she might need it to cope with the sudden release.
You will probably need L covers anyway, but do you have enough liners that you could do a test day with liners in each diaper and a L cover to see if the combo makes the difference?

NAK

The bigger cover seems to have solved the leaking issue, even without the liners.  However, they are huge on her and give her quite the "bubble butt".  What really confuses me is that she is the lower weight range for the M/L covers (20ish lbs.) so why does she need L covers?
