Hi everyone!

I'm new here. I just started CD'in this past weekend. I'm SUPER excited. I have pretty much everything I need except a toilet sprayer. There are so many out there! Does anyone know which ones are good or whereI can get one? I'm pretty much on my own with this because everyone except my husband thinks I'm nuts TIASarah(27) DH (27) DD born 3/10/09 New to CD'ing.

Congratulations on being a new mother!  I hope you're doing well and not too tired, but you must ok if you managed to get everything together for CDing.

I really don't have too much information since I don't use a toilet sprayer.  I've never found a need, but I'm not too icky about the poo (maybe growing up on a farm made the difference).  I hope it goes smooth for you and of course this is a great place to ask if you have any problems.  I love CDing too - my husband is the one who thinks I'm crazy and was actually a little irritated at me last night because I was tired but still had to deal with the CD laundry.  "Just use Pampers!!"  Sigh.

Take care,
Helena

Thanks you for responding. I just wanted to get a sprayer for my mother in law that watches my LO.... just to make it easier for her. There are just so many of them and I even saw some DIY ones but I wasn't sure if those really work.

Hi there,
I have the BumGenius diaper sprayer and I love, love, love it!!  Especially since LO was started on solids, his poops are epic and the sprayer makes a huge difference in our lives.  Good luck!

We built our own diaper sprayer and now that I have it I couldn't live without it.  We followed the directions from http://gidgetgoeshome.com/2008/08/25/diy-tutorial-make-your-own-diaper-sprayer/
All of the parts we available at Home Depot and it cost us about $12 total (we got the sprayer head used from Habitat for Humanity Restore).  We did not use a shutoff valve, we'll add one if/when we have a problem with children spraying the entire bathroom.  I can only imagine it works as well as the $60 retail version.
