|I am always very careful with laundry, so have never done anything remotely like this before, but last week through a combination of autopilot and distraction, I ended up washing a pair of jeans, a red/green plaid cotton tablecloth, and a Sandys (plus sundry kitchen towels and washcloths), together on a SANITARY cycle. Either the jeans or the tablecloth bled (pretty sure the jeans), and everything turned a sort of light blue/mint color, including the L Sandys. This could be kind of cute, except that it isn't really uniform. There are darker spots along the ruffle that look like stains, only I'm pretty sure it's just the darker "natural" fabric that hasn't been quite as sun-bleached, and several other blotchy spots.
Does anyone have any experience with having done this? Will the color fade over time and washing (not to white, I'm pretty sure)? Should I give up hopes of that and repeat the jeans-diaper-sanitary combination in hopes of getting a more uniform color?
I've never been paranoid about stains or anything, but for some reason having this wacky-looking diaper is bugging me.
I've never bleached my diapers so will not try that, but anything else? Any advice?
