Hi there! I am currently expecting baby #3 and wondering how well the MEOS diapers fit on a newborn. Both of my girls were 8 lbs when born, but we didn't start CD our littlest until she was 6 months old. If I can get away without buying a ton of new diapers, I'd really love that. TIA!

We used the MEOS from birth on a 7-pounder. It looked huged and it took a few days to get used to the bulk - at first I thought we must have done something wrong. But it worked perfectly well and we never had a leak. So I suspect you'd be fine with them. Good luck!

We used the MEOS from 6.5 lbs with nary a leak.  I always felt they looked more bulky on my chunky baby (started using them from 8 lbs with him) than my skinny one, so some of the bulk perception can come down to baby build.
The bottom line is that if you can live with some bulk while the diaper is folded-over, there's no need for anything new.

My husband actually liked the extra bulk of the OS diapers when my son was a newborn.  He was more confident holding him since the extra bulk made the baby easier to hold and felt less delicate.

Ditto--we had exactly the same experience.  DH was much more confident once baby was in his cloth diapers and felt less fragile; this was especially true with our first son.
Because cloth is what my DH learned, he was far more comfortable changing cloth diapers than disposables, too.
