M/L or just Lg Covers? (amathers)

My son is 10 months old and 23 lbs.  He is definitely grown out of his M airflow covers.  I've just been using other diapers.

However, I'm wondering if I should purchase M/L covers or just go right to Lg covers.  Seems a waste to get covers that he will grow out of so soon (ie. M/L).  If I just get L covers will he be prone to leaks during the night?

I haven't used m/l covers until my fourth, and to be honest, I really should have stuck with the large.  If you want to save a bit of money, I would say just buy large.

I found some other similar posts, and have read the same thing now.  I'm going to go ahead and just order large. Thanks.

Just my two bits....I know a lot of people are able to skip the M-L size but this is the size that both my kids needed the longest!!  My son is only 9 months old and 20 pounds but he has been in the M-L size for a couple of months already.  He's long, like his sister was, and maybe that is the reason??  The Large would definitely have been too big on him now, so I was glad to see that Motherease offered something in between because the M-L size, for us anyway, is "just right".

I liked having the M/L when my 6-month-old was over 20 lbs.  The L was just a bit too big for him then.  Or at least I felt like it was; with more experience now I suspect that it probably would have worked but would have had a lot of extra room.  With my second, who didn't hit 20 lbs until a year, the M/L just wasn't a necessary size.  I found myself using the L more anyway, so just sold off my M/L.  They can be a nice size for some, but if I were to do it again I'd probably try without.  If you find the L way too big, you can always go out and order the M/L.  You run a small risk of being out a little shipping, but you have the potential to save significantly by skipping the M/L.

I agree with skipping the M/L. My daughter is 15 months and 21 pounds, and I started using the M/L at 20 pounds, and already find the rise of the covers to be almost too short (especially at night when she has 2 liners in her diaper). I also don't like that there are only 2 waist snaps on either side (not sure that the Large has 2 or 3) but I find the waist is too small already as well, and she is not chunky by any stretch of the word. I wish I'd gone right to the large, but am trying to get the most I can out of my M/L, because I bought 8...
