hi I am thinking of switching to cloth wipes and I was wondering if its ok to use baby oil in my wipe solution... just wondering if it will cause build up on my dipes? This is what Im thinking of mixing for my solution---- 2 cups distilled water
6 drops of tea tree oil
1 tblsp of baby oil

I don't think mineral oil based baby oil is good with cloth dipes, but a plant-based oil like jojoba or olive oil would be okay to my understanding.

It would probably be ok ... and you would be able to tell if it started to buildup and could quit using it without any major issues I would think.

I would say, though, that most people on this forum just wet their cloth wipes with water and don't use a wipes solution. I have been doing that for 2+ years without any issues ... although now my daughter requests that they be warm

thanks for the replies.. i think im just going to do water and a couple drops of tea tree oil for now because we are battling diaper rash and I was told the tto would help the rash
