For everyone that has read my story about my little 8 week old that has had a funny type 'diaper rash/sores" in between her butt cheeks and 20-30+ poopy diapers a day since she was 1 week old. After constant persistance with her original pediatrician and finally switching drs. midstream for a second opinion AND 3 stool tests (3rd test requested by me in the ER last Sat.)...we finally have an answer to our 30+ poops a day....a STAPH infection in her intestines. Thank GOD for giving me the strength and courage to keep persuing this. God only knows what would have happened if I would have listened to her original dr who told me this was normal and not to worry.(I listened to her for 4 weeks then decided I needed a 2nd opinion) My mothering instincts have never been wrong before and I am so thankful I listened to my instincts rather than a dr. I hope my problem/story is helpful to other mothers on this forum. I have learned from this to never 2nd guess yourself and if you as a mother think there is something wrong...more than likely there is...dont give up and listen to your instincts and your baby. Nobody knows your baby the way you do. I have to say that n]being a mother is absolutely best thing in the world!!!
