question Charlies or Rockin Green? (Brittany1287)

I have been using Charlies Soap ever since we started cloth diapers but I have started hearing alot about Rockin Green Detergent? Have any of you had any experience with either and prefer one over the other? We have just had such good luck with Charlies it makes me nervous to try anything else. However I REALLY like the idea that Rockin Green smells good

We use Rockin Green, but the Barenaked Bottoms scent (ie no scent). I was told by the lady who runs the store where I bought it that the scent washes out completely, so the diapers don't smell like whatever the detergent smells like any way, and I was worried about my son's sensitive skin, so I went unscented. But the Watermelon detergent smells fantastic.

It's working really well for us so far, I've never tried Charlies Soap though. I use 2.5 tablespoons for a super large load (24 diapers) and I don't have an HE washer.

Hope that helps.

I have tried so many different kinds detergent.  Country Save, Nellie's, Allan's, and soap nuts(just to name a few).  But for me...Rockin' green was the BEST soap I have ever used.  It really is fantastic stuff.  They do sell trial size packets if you just want to give it a try.  The size of the trial packet is quite generous.  The smell of the detergent does actually wash out, but I just love to smell the mango one.

I started with Charlies and when the bottle ran out I tried RG, I have to say that RG cleans better.  It's somewhat pricey, so I use them only for dipes and ECO for clothes

I too started out using Charlies soap and I liked it.  I know have been using Country save because it is a little cheaper. I dont notice any different with the detergents though.  I have heard really good things about Rockin Green!!

GOOD LUCK

After having issues with every other soap we have tried I picked up a bag of RG and LOVE it! The scent does wash out and it's great. No more stink issues and you can use it to strip detergent residue off of used or older diapers.

Just an update - Rockin Green has issued a voluntary recall, the info is at http://www.facebook.com/notes/rockin-green-cloth-diaper-detergent/hard-rock-voluntary-recall/4129376

My daughter has had a crazy rash, and is on Prednisolone at the moment because the dermitologist thought she might have Atopic Dermititis, but now I'm wondering if she's just super sensitive, and the detergent was to blame. I hope it wasn't, it seemed to be working for us, but I just used it today again (before I saw the recall) and the poopy diapers really didn't come clean (and that has happened before - I thought I just wasn't using enough of the rocking green).
