| I would like to switch to a velcro cover. I have been so happy with my airflows. I just want something trimmer. Am I going to regret this??? |

Yes.
Okay, maybe not since you actively want something trimmer. I used both Rikkis and AFs, at first, and eventually migrated completely to AFs. Although the Rikkis are a fine cover, I did find them a bit tricker to get right. There's a greater chance the cover can poke out where the cover crosses on the legs--not a deal-breaker, but it was an extra spot to check. I also found that if I didn't get the velcro lined up perfectly and left a smidge extra on top, it could rub my boy's stomach. I really like that with the AF you just know which snaps work and do it without thinking about it, while I felt that I have to check and redo the settings of the velcro. When DS#1 was getting around 34 lbs or so and in the L Sandys, I had a hard time fitting the diaper with liner into the L Rikki, having to be super duper careful, while it wasn't a big deal with the L AF. But that same slightly trimmer fit that annoyed me with my super chunk (probably wouldn't have been an issue with skinny DS#2, but by then I'd gotten rid of them) might be good for you. The Rikki has the same great performance as the AF, so it's not a matter that it can't do the job; I just found it a little more work. |

Just to add to this, I don't know that you'd really find it made for a trimmer fit under clothes. Both are made of the same fabric so they're the same thickness. The Airflows have more air inside so they're pouffier but all that air gets squeezed out when under clothing anyway so I just can't see where it would make a big difference.
And for what it's worth, I find velcro darned annoying. Gets caught on everything in the wash, the velcro gets linty etc...
But there's no harm in trying I guess, there are certainly those out there that much prefer the Rikkys so it's really an individual thing. I would try one for now to see how you like it (you could try a trial pack with a diaper and liner for not that much more than what you'd pay for a cover alone once you include shipping and taxes - those are already included in the trial price). You could give ME a call to get the trial pack with a Rikkys, I think only the Airflow one is available online. Give it a good try first though and make sure you like it before selling off any Airflows that still fit...

I am currently using 2 large AF's and 2 Rikkis interchangeably with DS. I started out with Rikki's. I don't really have a preference - maybe the AF's for potty training since they can be pulled up and down vs. the Rikki velcro covers. In terms of thickness, I think they are the same as they are the same material. I suppose the AF's look poofier because you can cinch the Rikkis tighter across the waist but like Karen said, they will collapse under clothes. On the other hand, the Rikki's have leg gussets so the width between the legs can be skinnier than the AF's. Both are awesome at no leaks. With Rikki's, you do have to be more careful with making sure the velcro isn't scratching baby's tummy and you have to close the velcro together if you machine wash them so the velcro doesn't stick to everything. If you are used to AF's, then you may regret it. However, Karen makes a great recommendation of getting a trial pack.

| I use both rikki & af and haven't found one to be trimmer than the other - they're about the same. Now that my daughter is 15 months, I do prefer using the af because she knows how to take the rikkis off. |

I like both. You could buy one or two and give it a try! You can never regret buying a ME cover  since that would give you a leak-proof system  |

| All along I have used mostly rikki wraps, an occassional airflow. However, dd is 21 months now and wont keep a rikki wrap on! Im glad I had airflows too. If I really care about her keeping a dipe on, I use the airflow. And I find for a night dipe, which we use the large Kushies with a liner, the airflow works better as far as rise. |
